Condamine River Road was reopened on 27 January 2021. The road has been inspected and the crossings cleared of any debris. This area is a natural treasure and the public road is a delicate part of the Cambanoora Gorge ecosystem, so please treat the area with respect.
How long is the Condamine track?

Track. The Condamine River Track is 20km long and crosses the Condamine River 14 times. It’s the perfect track for four-wheel drive beginners who are looking to enhance their water crossing skills.
Where does the Condamine track start?
To start the trip from Boonah, start across the Police Station, head out from Boonah along Rathdowney Road and turn right when you Carney’s Creek Road. Drive for approximately 12 kilometres to cross Teviot Brook floodway. After passing through it, turn right onto The Head. From here, the low road is Condamine Gorge.

Although you can’t swim at Queen Mary Falls, nearby Browns Falls is a quick 600m trek through the bush to a beautiful swimming area. Please note, there is no distinct walking trail here and there is rock scrambling involved, but the swim at the end definitely makes it #worthit.

Where is the Condamine River 4WD track in Queensland?
The Condamine River 4WD track is located in the Scenic Rim region of South East Queensland. It is about a two hour drive from Brisbane or the Gold Coast. You can drive the track from north to south or south to north. Or as it is not an overly long track, you can do both like we did!
